PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government Sunday announced two holidays to mark first anniversary of deadly terrorist attack on Army Public School Peshawar (APS) which killed 151 people including 140 children.
All educational institutions and public and private sector offices will remain closed on December 15 and 16.

Addressing a ceremony in Islamia College Peshawar Chief Minister Pervez Khatak announced that two public holidays will be observed on first anniversary of APS massacre. However he added that law enforcement agencies will remain present on their duties.
Meanwhile many other non-government organisations have announced special ceremonies to remember the victims of December 16 attack.
The provincial government has chalked out a comprehensive security plan to maintain law and order situation on the occasion.
