Hajj pilgrimage ends in Makkah; PIA s post-Hajj flight operation to begin from Friday

MAKKAH – The Hajj pilgrimage for the year 2016 has concluded in Makkah after the pilgrims peacefully completed all of the required rituals on Wednesday.

Unlike last year, this year’s Hajj ended without any untoward incident, the Saudi officials said in a statement.

The Hajj pilgrims will now start returning to their home countries after performing Tawaful Ziarat of Ka’aba.

According to the Pakistani Hajj officials, Pakistani pilgrims will start from returning home from Friday through a special post-Hajj flight operation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

Some 1.5 million Muslims from around the world, including over 100,000 Pakistanis performed Hajj pligrimage this year.

President Mamnoon Hussain, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, and several other top level dignitaries had also arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
