LAHORE – Cricket commentator Dennis Freedman trolled ‘ignored’ Pakistani player Fawad Alam as he edited a video interview of him, recorded after he was dropped from the Test squad for team’s upcoming tour of Ireland and England.
Dennis, who had launched a crowdfunding campaign last year in a bid to visit Pakistan and help revive cricket in the country, uploaded a video of the left-arm spinner with captions, that did not attribute to what Fawad was saying.
Fawad Alam was asked about his feelings regarding the decision of selectors to drop him for an upcoming tour to which he replied that he was striving hard and it was upto the management, however, the sports journalist captioned the video with funny oneliners.

“I guess my average in first-class cricket of 55 is not enough. Also, it is unfortunate. But my uncle isn’t Inzimam. My performance over many years has been bloo*y legendary. Remember Inzi’s fitness?” stated the captions, though the funny comments were not passed by the bowler.
According to Dennis captions, Fawad also hoped for acceptance of his asylum request to Australia
“Now with Smith at no. 4, I see an opportunity or I could move to South Africa and then get selected for England either way,” stated the captions.
Let it be known that Fawad Alam, who happens to be a relative of former Cricketer Intikhab Alam bagged support on social media after he was not selected for the crucial tours.
Alam, 32-year-old, who scored 10,742 runs in 145 first-class matches with the average of 55.37 has not been selected in the National Cricket team for upcoming Ireland and England test series.
He has played three tests for Pakistan and also scored a brilliant knock of 168 runs on his second Test innings against Sri Lanka in 2009.
