LAHORE – Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, the spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, came under fire on Monday for making an indecent and abusive remark against Hamid, a top TV anchor and seasoned journalist of Pakistan.
Chaudhry, who is considered an outspoken person, posted a tweet showing a picture of Mir milking a buffalo. “Unbelievable it took me a time to differentiate btw Itna Bada Mounh n Cow Ass”, reads the PTI spokesman’s tweet.
However, following huge criticism of social media users, Fawad Chaudhary realized his mistake and deleted the tweet.

It is surprising that the PTI spokesman criticized the renowned journalist in this manner when Hamid Mir is the only journalist, whom Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan follows on Twitter. The PTI chief, who has over 4.93 million followers, follows only 19 people including his party leaders and former wife Jemima Khan.
Mir is currently programmes on the sale of unsafe milk across the country.
Fawad Chaudhry is currently hosting a political talk show on a private TV channel.
His family was in politics before partition of the subcontinent and his forefathers had played vital role in the Pakistan Movement.
Chaudhry Altaf Hussain, a relative of Fawad, was the Governor of Punjab during the mid-90s while Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry, who held the office of the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court in the early 2000’s, also belongs to the same family.
In his political career, Fawad has been associated with the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) of General (R) Pervez Musharraf and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
