KARACHI (Web Desk) – JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday appreciated the positive attitude of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders in talks aimed at persuading MQM lawmakers to withdraw their resignations and return to the assemblies.

Fazal, while addressing a press conference with MQM leader Farooq Sattar, expressed the hope that MQM would continue to adopt the same attitude during the upcoming talks to end the political crisis.
Sattar also extended his hope that JUI-F chief will ensure the safe political future of MQM in Karachi.
Both leaders informed the reporters that it has been decided to have another round of talks in this regard.
Earlier the first round of talks was cut short after Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader, former MNA Abdul Rashid Godil got injured when gunmen opened fire on his car in Karachi.

Police said, the incident took place in Bahadur Abad area where unknown bike riders fired six shots on Godil’s car and managed to flee from the scene.
He received bullets in his chest, head and jaw. The driver died on the spot, while wife is safe.
Godil was rushed to a Liaquat National Hospital where his condition is said to be critical, hospital sources said. He underwent surgery at a hospital.
Godil’s wife was in the car at the time of the attack but remained unhurt.
