ISLAMABAD – The rescued female leopard (Malka) from Azad Kashmir has passed away.
Recently, a female leopard was rescued from Azad Kashmir in a critical condition.
According to the Wildlife Management Board, one bullet was successfully removed from the leopard’s body, but the presence of three additional bullets contributed to her death.
Officials from the Wildlife Management Board reported that one bullet was near the leopard’s heart and another was close to her spine.
The Wildlife Management Board revealed that the female leopard from Azad Kashmir had been shot with four bullets.
The Wildlife Department of Azad Kashmir has initiated legal action against the culprits.
The leopard’s body has been transferred to the Pakistan Museum of Natural History.
The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board has informed the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Wildlife Department about Malka’s death.
