Six, including two women killed as a building collapses in Lahore

LAHORE – At least six people, including two women, were killed after a building collapsed in Bhati Gate area in Lahore on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred in Mohalla Aslam Khan area of the Walled City, where a multi-storey building collapsed.

After the incident, the residents got buried under the rubble while four others sustained injuries.

According to the rescue sources, the four including two minors had been pulled out of the debris alive, adding, the narrow streets had made it difficult to use heavy machinery to rescue victims, a private news channel reported.

They further mentioned that the injured were taken to a nearby hospital, adding, the rescue operation would be continued until the recovery of the last person trapped under the debris.

The deceased were identified as Shehzad, Shaheen Bibi, Qasim Ali and Farzana.
