Sickening: This is what United States was officially funding in Syria

ALEPPO (News Desk) – A recently surfaced video, which showed US-backed Syrian rebels beheading a minor, has sparked criticism against the United States for funding anti-Assad fighter in the war-torn country.

In the video, the fighters of Nour al-Din al-Zenki group can be seen slaughtering an 11-year-old child which they claimed was a soldier of the al-Quds group – which supports President Bashar al-Asad.

According to the media reports, the incident took place at the Palestinian refugee Handarat Camp in Northern Aleppo.

It may also be noted here that the US began funding Zenki fighters in 2014 and a report of the Daily Beast suggests that as many as 1000 Zenki fighters were on the CIA payroll. Every fighter was being paid $150 per month.

On the other hand, Liwaa al-Quds is a pro-Syrian government group which consists of Palestinian paramilitary faction of the Palestinian refugees. The Palestinians were originally settled in Handarat Camp however the anti-Assad fighters took over their homes.
