ISLAMABAD – Pakistan announced final 15-member squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Monday.
Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq announced that Junaid Khan and Faheem Ashraf were dropped from the squad in favour of Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz.
Haq said Asif Ali also replaced Abid Ali in the side adding that it was a tough choice to make.
Moreover, Shahdab Khan, who was unable to play in the series against England, would be a part of the squad.

Inzamam-ul-Haq detailed that the bowling unit during the recent ODIs against England did not work out as anticipated.
He continued that if we have at our disposal two experienced pacers [Amir and Wahab], it will be foolish not to include them.
‘Wahab Riaz is good at the reverse swing,’ Inzi said.
The chief selector termed Asif Ali an asset for Pakistan in the tournament.
