BAHAWALPUR: Police arrested five people, including a woman allegedly involved in a girl’s rape case.
A girl was allegedly raped in Madina Colony near Industrial area on Friday night and police carried out a raid on the complaint of the girl and arrested the suspects under Section 376 of the PC, Dawn reported.
According to police, the suspected woman had called the victim over to her house in Madina Colony. When the girl reached, she found the woman and four men in the house. The girl alleged that the main suspect belonging to Rajanpur raped her, while the remaining people stood guard.
The police added that a DNA test will be carried out on the main suspect for further investigations.
The police also claimed to have recovered one pistol and 26 bottles of liquor from the possession of the main suspect.
