ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Traffic on Lahore-Islamabad motorway on Thursday was diverted to an older mountain road as the two-day ‘High Mark 2016’ exercise of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) continued on 2nd day amid an unusually tense showdown with India.
The air exercise led to the closure of commercial airspace over several regions of the country and triggered a sudden drop in the nation’s stock market.
PAF spokesman said that holding of ‘High Mark 2016’exercise was an annual feature and the event was organised on regular basis as it bears significant importance as far as the operational preparedness of the officers and men of the force was concerned.
