LHC reinstates sacked Aitchison College principal Dr Agha Ghazanfar

LAHORE (Sarfraz Ali/ Staff Report) –   Lahore High Court has restored dismissed Aitchison College Principal Dr Agha Ghazanfar the other day by suspending his suspension orders.

Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh passed this interim order while hearing the petition filed by the Aitchison College Principal. The judge directed Board of Governors of Aitchison College (BoG) to submit reply on  August 30 on time of next hearing.

Earlier, Dr Agha Ghazanfar was sacked during a meeting of Board of Governors of Aitchison College, which was chaired by Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana.

Dr Agha Ghazanfar was awarded contract to serve as principal of the college till 2018, but the board expressed reservations over his performance, which led to his removal.

However, sources, later, disclosed that Dr Ghazanfar had refused to give admission to children of some influential personalities against the merit and his removal was the result of a revenge action.

Sources close to Dr. Agha told the Daily Pakistan that he will retake the office of principal this week.
