KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Pakistani rupee fell to its 17-month low against the US dollar with stock markets in Asia tumbling including the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE).
The dollar rose by Rs2.03 in the interbank trading at Rs104 against the rupee.
A spokesman for the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said they were monitoring the trading of the dollar, saying that that currency dealers have been told to lower the sale and purchase of dollars.
