ISLAMABAD – President Dr Arif Alvi has expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the death of Ali Raza Abidi, a former member of the National Assembly and MQM leader.
The President tweeted on Tuesday that he strongly condemned the murderous attack on Ali Raza Abidi, his good friend and former member of the National Assembly.

The President also prayed for the departed soul and for the bereaved family to bear the loss with equanimity.
The MQM leader was assassinated in front of his residence in Karachi as he was disembarking from his vehicle in Khayaban-e-Ghazi area.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah sought a report over the tragic incident and condoled with the bereaved family members.

The former MQM leader was a well-educated politician and did his immediate schooling from Karachi St. Patrick School. He got his B.com degree from DHA Degree College and I.com degree from S.M Commerce College. Then he went to states to complete his marketing degree from Boston University.
Ali Raza Abidi had plenty of experience in marketing sector and was the CEO of Akhlaq enterprises.
The attack came days after two workers of Pak Sarzameen Party were shot dead in Karachi.
