He also vowed to counter such tactics in a democratic way, adding that they will again come into power after winning the elections.

Taking aim at the leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the member of the National Assembly (MNA) said: “They don’t know anything except abusing on television”.

Criticising the policies of the incumbent government, Zardari said that the PTI was not capable of running the country, adding that the performance of the government was not up to the mark despite getting assistance from the friendly countries.

Earlier today, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the government had decided to place the name of Pakistan Peoples’ Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on the no-fly list amid ongoing money laundering probe against him.

Chaudhry stated this while addressing a press briefing held after a federal cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.

“All those involved in the fake accounts case will be placed on the Exit Control List (ECL),” he said, adding that around 172 persons, including Zardari, are being put on the no-fly list.

Is Zardari is going to be arrested, a journalist asked, to which the minister said: “Inshallah”. He further said, “I don’t know about it”.

The process of ongoing accountability will continue fearlessly, he said, adding that protests are being made by the opposition to save the plundering.
