ISLAMABAD – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former President, Asif Ali Zardari asserted on Saturday that the budget unveiled by the federal government had no real ‘legal, ethical or political value.’
Asif Zardari alleged that the need to present the budget stemmed out of greed and was based on political motives, adding that even there was no ‘value’ in passing remarks over the budget presented by Miftah Ismail on Friday.
The former president said that the Sindh government would announce its provincial budget for the next three months only, keeping in mind legal and ethical constraints.

Asif Zardari, who claimed that no government would be made without Pakistan Peoples Party, also heaped scorn on the government for the allocation in terms of Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
“The government would use it as a front to hand out commissions on development schemes,” claimed Zardari.
Zardari also lashed out at the incumbent government citing that no previous regime had been this unresponsive to the reservations of the opposition.
Besides Zardari, PPP’s co-chairperson, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had also taken a similar stance, accusing the PML-N led government of pre-poll rigging by presenting the budget for the entire year.
Bilawal also slated Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz over the appointment of Mr Miftah Ismail as the new Finance Minister, terming the escalation as evidence of the ruling government’s “dictatorial grooming, undemocratic behaviour and sheer hypocrisy.”
“PML-N should have left the next budget for the new government to be instituted after general elections,” Bilawal had said a few days back.
