Terror bid to target seminary foiled in Peshawar

PESHAWAR – Security officials on Saturday foiled a terror bid to target troops and students in the city.

As per the details, the Peshawar police officials following information spotted an improvised explosive device (IED) along the wall of seminary under the garbage.

Later, the bomb disposal squad reached the spot and defused the bomb preventing a terror attack that could cause damage.

Earlier this year, the security personnel defused the same kind device planted alongside the road at Aman Chowk to target a police mobile.

In July, two security personnel of Frontier Constabulary (FC) including an officer were martyred and at least seven others were wounded in a powerful blast in Hayatabad area of Peshawar.
