PM Imran to embark on a three-day inter-provincial tour today
ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave Islamabad for a three-day visit to Balochistan and Sindh and Punjab today (Friday).

During his first inter-provincial visit, the federal cabinet members will accompany the prime minister on his visit of Balochistan and Sindh provinces.

According to media reports, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will be also with the premier during the Balochistan tour.

The prime minister has been scheduled to meet with the Chief Minister, Governor, PTI leaders and allied parties and members of the Provincial Cabinet in Quetta.

He will also preside over a high-level meeting to review law and order situation in the province, where Army Chief, Commander Southern Command and security officials are also expected to attend the meeting.

From Quetta, the Prime Minister will reach Gwadar, where the Imran will lay the foundation stone of various projects, including the Gwadar International Airport. He will also be briefed on progress on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

In the evening today, PM Imran will reach Karachi, where he will chair the meeting of Karachi Transformation Committee. He will also meet traders and businessmen during his stay in Karachi. The premier will be briefed on the ongoing projects undertaken by the federal government.

After Karachi, the PM will also address a public gathering in Ghotki on 30 March.

During his Punjab tour, PM Khan would inaugurate a ceremony for Lahore-Karachi non-stop train at Lahore railways station. He would also hold separate meetings with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Sarwar.

The premier would preside over several meetings to discuss the progress of development projects in the province.

Pakistani currency saw minor adjustment against global currencies on April 19, 2024. US dollar was being quoted at 277.4 for buying and 280.4 for selling.

Euro comes down to 293 for buying and 296 for selling while British Pound stands at 342.25 for buying, and 345.65 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.2 and Saudi Riyal's new rates was at 73.30.
