Three services chiefs, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff discuss national security with PM Imran

ISLAMABAD – Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, as well as all the three services chiefs called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday.

The attendees of the high-profile meeting discussed national security situation as well as professional matters pertaining to the Pakistan armed forces.

Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi took part in the meeting with the prime minister.

The crucial meeting came days before the Pakistan Day parade in which Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad would take part as a guest of honour.

Pakistan Day is celebrated on March 23 throughout the country to mark the signing of the Pakistan Resolution by the All India Muslim League in 1940 at Lahore’s Minto Park. The resolution demanded a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
