ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to place the names of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on the Exit Control List (ECL).
According to media reports, the NAB has appealed the government to place the names of former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz, his brother Suleman Shehbaz, former finance minister Miftah Ismail and others on ECL.
The government approved placement of Hamza Shehbaz, Suleman Shehbaz and Miftah Ismail’s names on the ECL on the recommendation of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the reports said.
The NAB has also recommended to place the name of former chairman Pakistan Steel Mills, Moin Aftab on ECL. The Interior Ministry will place the names of aforementioned persons on ECL.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s name was placed on the ECL with regard to LNG case. The federal cabinet had earlier approved placement of Abbasi’s name on the ECL.
The reports said further that Salman Shehbaz has already left for abroad.
Earlier on Friday, The NAB had a raid at the residence of PML-N president and opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s residence, 96 H-Model Town in Lahore.
Both Shehbaz and Hamza Sharif are present at the residence at the time the raid was conducted.
Shehbaz Sharif’s guards exchanged harsh words with the NAB team on the occasion and stopped the team outside the residence.
However, the officials left without arresting anyone due to severe resistance.
