Accountability court gives go-ahead to NAB for Hamza s arrest

LAHORE – An accountability court in Lahore allowed the National Accountability Bureau to execute the arrest warrants issued against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Hamza Shehbaz.

“The suspect can be arrested by entering his house with the help of police,” the court stated in the order on Saturday and added that during the arrest, any unnecessary use of force should be avoided.

Earlier today, NAB once again tried to detain Hamza Shehbaz with the assistance of law enforcers and cordoned off the Model Town residence of Shehbaz Sharif.

Contingents of police, Rangers and anti-riot force surrounded 96-H Model Town, a day after its first unsuccessful raid.

A large number of PML-N workers are staging a sit-in outside the residence; police and party loyalists clashed as they attempted to enter Shehbaz family residence.

Speaking to a private TV via telephone, Hamza said that the party Workers should protest peacefully.
