PM Imran to chair cabinet meeting today

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a session of the federal cabinet today (Tuesday) to discuss a whole array of issues from budget to the recent wave of arrests besides his visit to Bishkek for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) moot.

The cabinet meeting is expected to start at 11 am at the prime minister’s office wherein the establishment of an inquiry commission would also be discussed.

According to the 15-point agenda on the table, the cabinet will be briefed about the Ehsas program and the Visa NOC Liberalization Policy.

Moreover, the cabinet members will also be briefed about the progress of the amnesty scheme, Pak-Iran Maritime Search and Rescue Agreement along with verified cases of theft by the Federal Investigation Agency and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.

The cabinet members are expected to deliberate upon the signing of an agreement between the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the University of New Mexico, the Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre and the Chinese University Jiangsu.

After the meeting, an official statement or press conference would be held to brief the media about the decisions taken.
