Mansha Bomb, sons granted bail in land-grabbing cases

LAHORE – A sessions court in Lahore granted bail to Mansha Khokhar alias Mansha Bomb and his sons, Asim and Amir in as much as seven cases on Friday.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Amjad Ali Shah heard the bail plea filed by the accused and announced the decision after hearing detailed arguments from the parties.

The defence counsel contended that the accused were innocent and all charges leveled against them were unfounded and baseless, pleading the court to approve the bail.

The accused were booked by Johar Town police in four and Township police in three cases on allegations of occupying houses and plots of the public.

Mansha Bomb went underground after the Supreme Court ordered his arrest while hearing a petition of an overseas Pakistani; the police also informed the court that Mansha and his sons were involved in land-grabbing cases.

However, on October 15, last year Mansha was arrested from the Supreme Court premises after he arrived to surrender himself to the police.

The police have now been ordered to release Mansha Bomb and his two sons.
