CAA extends helping hand to senior, sick, special passengers

LAHORE (Staff Report) – The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will provide free help to senior citizens, sick and special passengers at major airports including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

These passengers will be provided with pick-up facility from parking lots, while CAA helpers will help them carry their luggage as well.

The initiative has been taken in an endeavour to facilitate special travellers at the airports in line with CCA National Aviation Policy 2015, approved by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, CAA spokesperson Kamran Malik told Daily Pakistan on Wednesday.

Special counters have been made in the first phase at these three airports, said Mr Malik, adding these counters will facilitate senior, sick or special passengers.

“In the second phase, such facility will be carried out at other airports. This offer is free of any kind of charges and included in the responsibilities of airlines towards its customers.

“Free tea, coffee and mineral water may also be provided to the passengers in next phase,” he added.
