Strong earthquake jolts Lahore, Islamabad and parts of Pakistan

A strong earthquake hit parts of the country on Thursday.  The tremors were felt in several cities inlcuding Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar at 2:20pm local time with people coming out of the buildings out of fear. 

National Seismic Monitoring Centre shared an update as epicenter of the earthquake was the Hindu Kush region and the depth of the quake was 213km. 

Strong seismic activity was also felt in parts of Afghanistan, and as far away.
