Pak-India foreign secretaries meeting not linked with Pathankot attack investigation, says Indian High Commissioner

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Mr Gautam Bambawale Monday said that the meeting between foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India was not linked with progress in investigation of Pathankot attack.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad, she said that officials Islamabad in Islamabad and New Delhi were constantly in contact with each other at the matters related to foreign secretaries meeting. Th meeting will take place very soon, he added.

To a question he said that working in Pakistan as Indian envoy was a great duty and he would try his best to improve the bilateral ties of two countries.

On the occasion he also urged two countries to facilitate the traders to enhance the bilateral trade.

It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that a meeting of Pak-India foreign secretaries was scheduled on January 15, in a bid to resume bilateral comprehensive dialogue. However the meeting was postponed after a terrorist attack on Pathankot airbase.
