8 Dead Over 2700 Injured In Lebanon Pager Explosions

At least eight people were killed and 2,750 injured due to pager explosions in Lebanon.

According to foreign media reports, the pagers used by security personnel for communication across Lebanon exploded, injuring over 2,700 people, including Hezbollah fighters and medical staff.

Among the injured is Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani, although Iranian media reports that his condition is stable and out of danger.

The wave of explosions began at 3:45 PM and continued for about an hour. It is not immediately clear how the devices were detonated.

Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces stated that several wireless communication devices were blown up across the country, particularly in southern Beirut suburbs, resulting in injuries.
