LAHORE – Unidentified men shot and killed a lady constable in Lahore’s Harbanspura area on Tuesday.
According to police, the tragic incident occurred near the under-construction Harbanspura police station, where two suspects on motorcycles opened fire, killing the lady constable Saman. The assailants managed to flee the scene.
Upon receiving the report, police personnel arrived at the location, and the body was moved to the hospital as the investigation began.
Meanwhile, Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from Lahore CCPO.
IG Punjab has directed DIG Operations to immediately arrest those involved in the shooting, stating that the incident must be thoroughly investigated and the culprits apprehended as soon as possible.
Dr Usman Anwar further said that Safe City camera footage and all available evidence should be utilised to arrest the suspects, and that providing justice to the victim’s family will be a top priority.
