Sarfraz likely to replace Shahid Afridi as new T20 captain

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Fact-finding committee has recommended to elevate Sarfraz Ahmad as new T20 captain.

The committee, headed by Shakil Sheikh and members Iqbal Qasim and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief operating officer Subhan Ahmad, is all set to submit final report on Pakistan’s dismissal performance in World Twenty20 to PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan on Friday.

According to media reports, the board has decided not to extend Head Coach Waqar Younis’ contract which is due to expire in May.

Meanwhile, Mohsin Hasan Khan and Aaqib Javed are likely to be appointed as as chief selector and coach respectavily.
