LONDON (Staff Report) – Acknowledging the potential for continued growth, Pakistan and United Kingdom have agreed to establish a joint Pakistan-UK Business Council to enhance bilateral trade.
A joint statement issued after the visit of Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, said that two countries agreed to boost trade and investment between the two countries.
Both the sides agreed to establish a joint Pakistan-UK Business Council comprising leading businessmen to be nominated by their respective governments.
The two sides also agreed new road-maps on trade and investment and security cooperation.
Faced with the common threat of terrorism, the UK and Pakistan will continue to cooperate to ensure the safety of citizens in both countries.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said non-Âinterference into others’ matters is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
He said this while talking to the staff of Pakistan’s High Commission in the United Kingdom. The Advisor said the government is vigorously focusing on CPEC.
