PM Nawaz to inaugurate DI Khan-Hakla motorway under CPEC

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will perform the groundbreaking of the two hundred and eighty-five kilometer long Dera Ismail Khan-Hakla motorway project on Tuesday (today).

The project is part of western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and will be completed at a cost of over Rs. 129 billion. The project will be completed in two years.

The project includes the construction of several bridges and interchanges. It will bring enormous economic benefits to the less developed parts of the country.

The motorway is set to be constructed in five stages and will pass through Pindi Gheb, Sawan, Mianwali, Rokhri, Rehmani Khel and will terminate at Yarik (DI Khan).

After the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will also address a gathering at Ratta Kulachi Stadium where is expected to announce the construction of Chashma Right Bank Canal Phase-II, Ladhu Marginal Dyke and an agriculture university.
