PM Nawaz reaches Gilani house, greets Yousaf Raza over son s recovery

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the residence of former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday and congratulated him on the return of his son Ali Haider Gillani.

The prime minister was accompanied by his wife Kalsoom Nawaz and son Hussain Nawaz.

On this occasion, Gillani’s sons, Ali Haider Gilani and Abdul Qadir Gilani, were also present. Nawaz Sharif embraced Ali Haider Gilani and congratulated him.

The PM said that Ali Haider has reached safely to his family due to the prayers of the nation and blessings of Allah Almighty.

The Sharif family presented a bouquet of flowers, fruits and sweets to Ali Haider. Yousuf Raza Gilani thanked Prime Minister for providing special aircraft to bring back his from Afghanistan.

Ali Haider Gilani is the second notable recovery after safe return of ex-Governor Salman Taseer’s son Shahbaz Taseer.

Haider Gilani, one of the four sons of former premier, was rescued by Afghan and US forces during a joint raid in Ghazni province of Afghanistan against Taliban on May 10.

He was abducted in May 2013, kept in Faisalabad for two months and then taken to tribal areas before being moved to Afghanistan.
