All four accused in Muree school teacher burnt alive case released from jail

MURREE (Web Desk) – The four accused in Maria Sadaqat, who was allegedly burnt alive for refusing a marriage proposal, have been released from jail.

Maria had accused Master Shaukat Abbasi, Rifat Abbasi, Mian Arshad and Haroon for her murder before she died.

A high profile committee constituted by the Punjab chief minister (CM) conducted interviews and inquired into the case and submitted a report, declaring that Maria committed suicide and was not murdered. She had named the accused because she was pressured by her family.

After seeing the report, the accused filed a bail application with the Civil Court Murree.

on Tuesday, the court accepted and ordered for the four accused to be released.
