LAHORE – Pakistan-Awami-Tehreek chief Tahir ul Qadri is to leave for London, party sources have said, where he will submit an application in European Union (UN) Human Rights Commission for investigation into Model Town tragedy.
The PAT chairman will leave Pakistan for London late Wednesday night. He will also hold different meetings with his legal experts regarding Model Town tragedy investigation.
Qadri will come back to the country this month, said the PAT sources.
According to the sources, the PAT chief has decided to approach on international forum for asking higher authorities to push Pakistan government for investigation into the matter of Model Town incident, in which 14 party workers were killed by the Punjab Police during hours-long standoff in 2014.
Qadri is also leading Tehreek e Qisas (Movement for Blood) against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
