OKARA – A man allegedly strangled his divorced girl to death in Chak Fateh Pur near Dipalpur district Okara here on Saturday.
Sources said that Robina Kausar daughter of the suspect Noor Muhammad was married to Abid Ali ten years ago, and with whom she had four children. But her husband divorced her due to her suspicious character.
She started living in her parents’ home after having been divorced by her husband.
She eloped with her boyfriend one month ago. She was brought back home through a panchayat ( a village council) . Last night, when she was asleep her father strangled her to death and fled.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
