ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad is underway under the chair of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The cabinet will discuss the overall situation of the country in the meeting. The cabinet will also be briefed over the recent developments with respect to the probe of the Panama Leaks issue.
The participants are likely to discuss the Quetta police training centre carnage and the recent policy of law enforcement agencies who thwarted PTI’s Islamabad lock down.
It should be noted that Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan while hearing a case on ‘Panama Papers’ leaks on Tuesday had offered to form a commission to investigate revelations that Sharif’s children having offshore bank accounts.
The apex court also directed the federal government and opposition parties to submit their Terms of Reference (TORs) for the investigation of the Panama Leaks.
The Companies Amendment Act 2015 is also likely to be discussed in the meeting of the federal cabinet.
