ISLAMABAD – The bodies of the Pakistani nationals who perished in the PIA aircraft crash on 7 December 2016 have been handed over to their’ families, according to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) administrator, who also added that the bodies of 3 foreigners’ have not been handed over as yet.
Eleven bodies, including six members of the same family, were handed over to their families earlier on Saturday. They had been flown to Chitral via special flights of C-130 aircraft from Noor Khan Airbase.
Six among the 11 victims belonged to one family and their bodies were flown to Chitral. These six victims included the parents and siblings of 14-year-old Hasina Gul.
At present, only three bodies of foreigners have been left behind at the PIMS morgue.
