Indian army resorts to unprovoked firing at LoC

RAWALPINDI: Indian forces made a fresh ceasefire violated by resorting to unprovoked firing and shelling across the Line of control (LoC) on Friday, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Indian border forces shelled mortars coupled with gunfire in Chirikot Sector along the LoC, the ISPR said in a statement. The firing and shelling continued from 4:40 pm to 5:40 pm.

However, Pakistani troops gave a befitting reply to the Indian side.

The fresh ceasefire violation by the neighbouring country coincides with finalisation of a dossier on Indian subversive activities by Pakistan.

The dossier consisting of evidence of an Indian submarine, which was spying on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) sea routes, will be submitted to new Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres soon after he holds the office in January. The dossier also contains evidence regarding an Indian spy, Kulbhushan Yadav, an on-duty Indian navy officer working for RAW who was caught from Balochistan, earlier this year.
