PESHAWAR – Two personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) were injured on Friday when suspected militants attacked a post along the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Agency.
According to Intra Services Public Relations, troops effectively responded to the attack carried out by militants from the Afghan side of the border.
Pak Army’s media wing suggested that there were reports of a “few” militants killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.
It is relevant to mention that Pakistan has already sealed Pak-Afghan border at Torkham following a tragic bombing at shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar on Thursday night that killed over 74 people.
Moreover, Afghan embassy officials were also summoned at GHQ on Friday where they were handed over the list of terrorists hiding in Afghanistan.
Pakistan urged Afghan officials to take immediate actions against the terrorists and hand those miscreants over to Pakistan.
Tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan is likely to escalate following the tragic incidents and closure of Pak-Afghan border.
