ISLAMABAD: India will hand over two Pakistani school-goers, who were apprehended last year for their alleged involvement in Uri attack, to Pakistan on Friday at Wagah Border.
On September 18, 2016, unknown militants carried an attack on headquarters of Indian army in Uri, Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK), and killed 19 soldiers.
The Indian authorities, maintaining its traditions, had once again blamed the Pakistan for attack without any evidence.
Later, the Indian army arrested two boys, Faisal Hussain Awan and Ahsan Khursheed, who lived in a village in Azad Kashmir, after they had crossed the border unknowingly on September 21, 2016.
The decision follows a report of Indian National Investigation Agency that states the charges against the Pakistani teens could not be substantiated during the probe and there were no linkages between the two Pakistani and the militants killed in Uri attack.
