KARACHI – Supreme Court Registry Karachi Tuesday sought a five-year record of revenue generated through billboards in Karachi.
A bench consisting of Justice Amir Hani Muslim heard a case pertaining to report of Karachi Cantonment Board regarding hoardings and signboards installed with permission and without permission.
It had been informed in the report that hoardings had been removed across the city. The court asked how much money was collected from the billboards and signboards in the mega city.
Justice Amir Hani asked, the respondents whether they had seen you seen such large boards in any other country. He added that there was no space to move on a footpath due to such boards.
Later, the court seeking the record of revenue adjourned the hearing. – APP
