ISLAMABAD – A Frontier Corps personnel embraced martyrdom and another sustained injuries when twin suicide attacks in training centre in Mohmand Agency were foiled on Friday morning.
According to the details, two suicide bombers tried to wreak havoc on a Frontier Constabulary Centre in Shabqadar but the prompt action foiled their nefarious plan. The attack left one paramilitary personnel martyred while another was left injured.
The Frontier Corps, in retaliation to the attack, shot dead two of the suicide attackers’ accomplices. The reflex action of paramilitary forces saved scores of young police officers who were inside the training academy. The catastrophe could be of severe nature, had the terrorists managed to barge into the centre.
The security agencies launched a search operation in the area following the terrorists attack.
Operation Radd Ul Fassad launched by the armed forces after a recent string of terror attacks is underway with full pace across the country. Top civil-military leadership has reaffirmed their commitment to taking the operation to its logical end.
Law enforcement officials are on the hunt for suspects and militants across the country and especially in big cities.
Pakistan has intensified its operations near the border area of Afghanistan. The Pak-Afghan border has also been sealed at Torkham following the attack on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine that took over 80 lives.
