ISLAMABAD – Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has authorised Private Power and Infrastructure Board to award the project for establishment of 300 megawatt (MW) power plant at Gwadar, to China Communication Construction Company.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting of the Committee where the approval was given.
The ECC had formed a committee in its last meeting to carry out a detailed review of the proposal put forth by the Ministry of Water and Power.
The committee presented its report during the meeting and endorsed the suggestion of the ministry.
