It bears mentioning that the cricketer-turned-politician arrived at the apex court for proceedings regarding a case related to illegal settlements and activities of land mafia in Bani Gala area for which the chief justice Mian Saqib Nisar had taken a suo-moto notice.

The five-member bench on Thursday announced the formation of a Joint Investigation team to probe the money trail of the Sharif family in the landmark Panama Leaks case verdict. Both PML-N and PTI had vowed not to seek a review of the verdict and to accept whatever the apex court decides in the case.
