ISLAMABAD – Overseas Pakistani are suffering from mental agony after allegedly receiving threatening calls from telephone numbers of Pakistan embassies in different countries to get extortion money.
A latest conspiracy against Pakistan is revealed under which anti-state elements are making threatening calls to overseas Pakistanis using telephones numbers of Pakistani embassies to defame the country internationally.
Sources said that the citizens were abused and threatened over the phone, besides demanding extortion money.
On the other hand, Pakistani embassies have refused such claims and issued directions that overseas Pakistanis should not take the calls seriously.
The officials said that investigation is being conducted to trace the miscreants involved in the crime.
