ISLAMABAD – The Foreign Office on Wednesday summoned Indian Deputy High Commission JP Singh to lodge a protest over the killing of two innocent citizens due to Indian forces’ firing across the Line of Control (LoC).
According to local media, DG South Asia handed over a protest note to the Indian official regarding the ceasefire violations. The deputy high commission has been informed that deliberate targeting of civilians will not be tolerated.
Earlier, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria took to Twitter and verified the martyrdom of two civilians due to the unprovoked firing of Indian forces at Baroh and Tandar sectors along the LoC. Six people also injured during the firing.
