ISLAMABAD – Newly elected Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has resolved to establish rule of law, as well as boost the economy of Pakistan.
Abbasi further said that a friendly atmosphere will be developed to promote tax culture and attract investment, adding that agriculture sector will also be among the priorities of the government. Special focus will also be put on integrated security, he said.
Warning tax evaders of stern action, the prime minister asked people to pay their taxes honestly.
In order to mitigate loadshedding, ten thousand megawatt electricity is being added to the national grid, he said.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated this during his maiden speech after being elected as prime minister on Tuesday.

Abbasi has replaced Nawaz Sharif who had been disqualified by the Supreme Court for not disclosing his employment with FZE Capital.
Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, provincial governors and Chief Ministers of Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan, the services chiefs, parliamentarians and diplomats were present on the occasion.
