Pakistan objects to expanded Indian role in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has once again objected to the burgeoning role of India in Afghanistan terming it controversial and against the interest of regional stability.

Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria while addressing a press briefing on Friday said that Pakistan would not accept any Indian role in Afghanistan as it takes this issue very seriously and has raised it on several international fora.

Revealing details about Thursday’s meeting with the US delegation the official claimed that the huddle was highly constructive and fruitful.

‘Meanwhile, Pakistan and the United States have agreed to continue discussions on all matters of mutual interest for bilateral cooperation and peace in the region, he said.
