KARACHI -The embattled Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan faction has changed its decision of marching towards Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Azizabad area of the city, restricting itself to a visit of the party chief, Farooq Sattar, along with Rabita Committee members.
The reason behind the change of plan has not surfaced yet, however, sources said MQM-P leadership had not taken the permission regarding the march.
According to a spokesperson of MQM-P, the party chief will say prayers for the deceased at Yadgar-e-Shuhada today (Saturday) where security has been beefed up ahead of the visit.
The decision to lead a march from Ayesha Manzil as a show of power was announced by the MQM-Pakistan supremo Dr. Farooq Sattar through his Twitter handle on Friday.

Since MQM founder Altaf Hussain’s Aug 22, 2016 diatribe, the party’s Nine Zero headquarters and its public secretariat at Khurshid Memorial Complex in Azizabad have been sealed off.
The leaders of MQM-P, or those associated with Altaf-led MQM-London, have not been allowed to visit the monument known as Yadgar-i-Shuhada.
