LAHORE – West Indian master blaster Chris Gayle on Thursday took a sarcastic jibe at Pakistan’s opening batsman and birthday boy Ahmed Shehzad over his latest performance in National T20 Cup.
The star opener took to Twitter and sent his wishes to Green Shirts’ right-hander who is inches away from becoming the quickest to score 5,000 runs in domestic cricket.
The 26- year-old is only 17 runs short of this feat. Gayle, however, was of the view that Shehzad would miss out on the 5,000 club tomorrow. He thought that the ‘selfie-master’ would manage only 15 runs.
Wishing my boi @iamAhmadshahzad the best of luck for those 17 runs to become the quickest to 5K runs tomorrow. I’ll be watching Pakistan’s #NationalT20Cup … I think he’ll get 15 ?????
